LFE is pleased to announce that Peterborough United’s Will Van Lier is the winner of the LFE Goal of the Month award for March.
The second-year apprentice scored a spectacular long-range strike that went in off the underside of the bar against Sheffield Wednesday on March 8.
His impressive goal received almost half of the votes, 3112 votes (49%), 11% more than Oldham Athletic’s Isaac Modi whose fierce drive against Tranmere Rovers received 2424 votes.
Van Lier will now join Plymouth Argyle trio Jeffrey Forkuo, Will Jenkins-Davies and Rhys Shirley; Lincoln City’s Oisin Gallagher, Sheffield Wednesday’s Bailey Cadamarteri, AFC Wimbledon’s Isaac Olaniyan and Carlisle United’s Nicolas Bollado in the hunt for LFE’s prestigious Goal of the Season accolade.
