Academy players who achieve the required academic qualifications at the end of their LFE apprenticeship are able to pursue a route into Higher Education.
For some, a University degree is an essential part of professional training for a career, particularly in fields such as medicine, engineering and law. Others may have no clearly defined career destination in mind, but are motivated by their interest in a subject and a desire to improve themselves as people alongside their future career potentials.
Student life offers more than just academic and vocational knowledge, providing the opportunity to gain:
- Extra-curricular experiences
- Paid & voluntary work experience
- Life management
- Increased self-awareness
- Greater employability skills
- A broader sense of identity
- Social awareness
- Resilience
- Motivation & confidence
