Northampton Town first year Apprentice Brendan Brown has claimed the delegate incentive prize from LFE’s Create Your Legacy 2014 careers event which took place last month at the University of Warwick.
Throughout the day, the event’s exhibitors were asked to nominate ten delegates who engaged the most positively and after tallying up the most nominations Brown will receive a £50 Amazon voucher.
Brown was described as ‘articulate’ and ‘asked many questions’ as ‘he was clearly thinking about his next career steps’.
“If for whatever reason football doesn’t work out for me or even if it does, I know my background and experiences will give me an opportunity to find something else after my playing days because there is clearly a lot of companies interested in us,” Brown told LFE.
“I have another year left on my contract at Northampton and I will be fully focussed on achieving a professional deal but I will be at the event next year and will keep my eye on what my fall back could be,” added Brown.
